Paul Garber of the Smithsonian Institution demonstrates a vintage bicycle built for Buster Keaton.

Text reads:

“Paul Garber of Smithsonian Institution in Washington likes nothing more than collecting historical mechanical devices, the latest arrival being an 1818 model bicycle called at that time a “pedestrian curricle” or “hobby horse.” This bicycle was built for Buster Keaton [for Our Hospitality] well known movie comedian according to plans submitted to Smithsonian Institution and was so perfect in its design that it has been permanently placed in the museum.

February 27, 1924.”
