In a general sense—and looking at it as a woman 80-50 yrs. after the fact—yes. But I can accept Hitch’s worldview (including his kinks and fetishes towards the female) in an auteuristic sense and it does not bother me personally. And we must remember that his specific perversions paved the way for some tremendous performances from actresses in indelible roles, which I always appreciate.
